The 4-bedroom, 5-bathroom Primadonna apartment is an exquisite example of Florentine architecture both inside and out. Full of valuable artwork, impressive chandeliers and period furniture, this apartment will provide a dramatic and memorable backdrop for your holiday in Florence.
Though the antique furnishings and original 18 century frescoes can be admired throughout the apartment, the palace has been updated with such modern conveniences as air conditioning and Wi-Fi. A fully appointed kitchen is at your disposal, as is a large dining room with seating for up to 7 people. There are two lavishly decorated living rooms for elegant leisure.
All of the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and their own satellite television. The master bedroom has a double bed.There are two more bedrooms each with two twin beds, plus a single bedroom with single bed. All are well appointed, some with ceiling frescoes.
Due to the museum quality of the furnishings, this property requires guests to sign a special rental agreement. Children are not allowed as guests, and it is not possible to host parties or events in this apartment.
Setting and Surroundings
Built as a palace around 1470 under the design of esteemed Renaissance architect Baccio d’Agnoto, the Primadonna is in the Oltrano neighborhood of Florence. Located just south of the Arno River in a quieter, less touristy area of the city. You will be within an easy walk of Santo Spirito Church, the Palazzo Pitti, Belvedere and Piazzale Michelangelo. The neighborhood is charming, full of excellent restaurants, antique shops and boutiques.
As you enter through the palace’s interior courtyard, you are surrounded on three sides with porticos adorned with statues. A doorman will greet you as you enter the building.
