Located in one of the most prestigious buildings in the historical center of Florence, this beautiful apartment has all of the grace of its history, but with modern amenities and comforts.
Almost all of the design elements of the building have been lovingly restored to the splendor of a more elegant time, including the 16th century terracotta floors and the vaulted ceilings with 18th century frescoes. Fine furnishings and antiques have been added to complete this oasis of luxury and refinement.
You will enter the apartment through the dining area, which has a fireplace. You will find a large, comfortable sitting room with flat screen TV. The elegant bedroom has a queen bed that can be split into 2 twin beds on request.
The apartment has a compact, modern kitchen and full bathroom with tub and hand held shower attachment. A small terrace sits adjacent to the living room, providing the perfect place for dining al fresco or enjoying a glass of wine after a long day of sightseeing.
Setting and surroundings
The lovely Margarita vacation apartment is housed in an amazing late 15th century palace. Its entrance is stately, enhanced by fabulous statuary in the interior courtyard leading into the building. A doorman sits as a sentinel, just outside the entrance to the building, from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm daily.
The palazzo is located in the charming Oltrano neighborhood of Florence. Located just south of the Arno River, it is a quieter, less touristy area of the city. You will be within an easy walk of Santo Spirito Church, the Pitti Palace, Belvedere and Piazzale Michelangelo. The neighborhood is charming, full of excellent restaurants, antique shops and boutiques. And it is easy to walk across the Ponte Vecchio to Florence’s main sights.
