Florence: The Renaissance and the Art of Living
Florence is the capital of Tuscany and one of the world’s most beautiful cities. In streets largely unchanged since the Renaissance, there are countless delights unknown to the hurried visitor. In a single day, you could look into the eyes of Michelangelo’s David, fall under the seductive sway of Botticelli’s Birth of Venus, and climb the modern world’s first dome, which still dominates the skyline.
Discover Florence’s contemporary side: its artists and designers and its thriving food scene. Stop by the local bakery to sample their delicious lemon pastry (and learn the recipe) before setting out for a leisurely dinner on the beach at Isola del Giglio. Visit its grand museums and intimate artists’ studios. Enjoy its sophisticated restaurant scene and fashionable boutiques. The possibilities are endless and the paths away from the tourist centers are plentiful if you know the region as well as our Experience Coordinators do.
